Tiles

One thing I love to do is create tiled patterns, drawing inspiration from everything—from batik to scratchboard to stencilling to hqx code. At first I was just intrigued with working out my own method of tiling, but then I became interested in doing full-color tiles to imitate natural methods and materials. I have built a second site specifically about my tiles, oriented to the surface design industry.

You are welcome to use these in your own pages, if you find one or two you really like. Of course, some patterns are far too busy to actually be used as a page background, but all of them can be modified to be a margin tile just by adding whitespace to the right side of the gif.
